Feed-A-Child is essential to fighting childhood hunger in our region. Each Feed-A-Child bag, distributed to Findlay and Hancock County elementary students in need, includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack items that are easy for children to prepare during the weekend, when school isn't in session. The goal is to assist family’s with filling their pantries, providing children with easy-to-prepare items, and allowing families to pay for other needed expenses.

In 2024, the Feed-A-Child program distributed 117,192 meals and the need keeps growing.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO HELP

We rely on teachers, administrators and school staff members to distribute food; on volunteers to pack and deliver bags; and on donors, corporate sponsors, and nonprofit community partners to help us keep Feed-A-Child successfully operating.

Volunteers are occasionally needed for packing events. Look on our social media pages for occasional information about volunteer opportunities.

Our community partners and corporate sponsors include: United Way of Hancock County, Great Scot Community Markets, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Ohio Logistics, and West Ohio Food Bank.

Our donors include: United Way of Hancock County, Pepsi, the Findlay Family YMCA's Annual Campaign, and private individuals.
