We are looking for community participation in the Findlay YMCA Grill for Good Campaign from now through Labor Day! This campaign aims to help us reduce financial barriers for individuals and families in Hancock County through raising funds to support our Open Doors Scholarship Program, while also promoting fun, togetherness, and good conversation.

Participating in this campaign is easy. Sign up to be a Findlay YMCA Grill Master, host a cookout with your crew, and encourage them to give to the Findlay YMCA through your custom Peer-to-Peer fundraising page. Each Grill Master will receive a Host grab bag which will include a branded apron, a Grill for Good sticker, custom table cards for your cookout, and coupons to both Hurdwell Market and Great Scot Community Market

So, fire up the grill and invite your loved ones to support a great cause that strengthens our community!

Common Questions:

Q: Where should I have the cookout?

A: Anywhere! The best part about this fundraiser is that you set your own time, place, attendees, just like you would any normal cookout!

Q: What if I don't think I can raise much money at my cookout?

A: THAT'S OKAY! We recommend setting a suggested donation amount for your guests. That can be $1, $5, $20, or whatever you think suits your crew! Every dollar counts, and our ultimate goal is to promote togetherness and philanthropy. Hosting a Grill for Good cookout gives people a platform to share a good deed and talk about how the Y makes our community stronger.

Q: Are donations tax deductible?

A: YES! When someone donates through your custom fundraising page, they automatically receive a receipt via email that shows their charitable contribution amount.

Q: Can a business host a Grill for Good Event?

A: ABSOLUTELY! Hosting a Grill for Good Event is a great way to show your commitment to your community with the added element of customer appreciation!
