Help your kids get moving!

Toddlers & Preschoolers

Toddlers and preschoolers need at least 3 hours of physical activity each day. This can be through structured play such as toddler dance or gymnastics class and free play such as moving around our home, playing in the backyard or on the playground.

Kids & Teens

Kids and teens ages 6 – 17 need 60 minutes of activity each day. Use your creativity to break this up during the day.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

  • Walk the dog
  • Walk or Ride a bike or scooter with a family member or friend
  • Have a 10-minute dance party
  • Go to the Y
  • Go to Riverside Pool & Swim
  • Limit screen time and instead encourage outdoor play with family or friends
  • Sidewalk chalk
  • Relay Races or Obstacle Courses
  • Enroll in YMCA team sports or fitness programming

CHALLENGE: Walk, Run, Ride a Bike or Scooter a MILE outside.
