Feed-A-Child

Feed-a-Child Summer Distribution 

The Findlay Family YMCA will continue the distribution of Feed-a-Child Bags throughout the summer in response to the 2020 COVID 19 Pandemic.  “Typically the Feed-a-Child Program would end with the school year. Due to the pandemic, there is a need for Feed-a-Child distribution to continue through the summer months, due to increased unemployment and Stay Safe Ohio Order.  The Y will continue to distribute to those in need in the community”, Jennifer Treece, Development Director.  Each Feed-a-Child Bag includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks items that are easy for children to prepare.  The goal is to assist in filling family’s pantries, providing children with easy to prepare items, and allowing families to pay other needed expenses. 

Distribution will occur once a week, on Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 PM at the following locations: 

  1. Jacob’s Primary School – 600 Jacob’s Ave. Findlay, OH 45840
  2. Findlay Downtown YMCA – 300 E. Lincoln St. Findlay, OH 45840

Feed-a-Child Bags are also available to be Home Delivered if you are not able to travel to the distribution times.  Van Buren, Cory Rawson, and Arlington Schools will also distribute Feed-a-Child Bags.  The Feed-a-Child Bags are available to any child in need, regardless of the school they attend.  

This program is funded and executed through a partnership with The United Way of Hancock County and the Findlay Family YMCA. Additional Partners include: Great Scot Community Markets, Marathon Petroleum Company, and Ohio Logistics.  Donors also include: Savage, Pepsi and numerous individual donors.
